The FAN – Festivals Animation Network project is a collaboration between partner festivals, led by the Portuguese CINANIMA. The network has many goals. For instance, it aims to exchange good practices and experiences among its members, and strives to contribute to the promotion of European auteur cinema. The partner festivals include Animafest Cyprus, Animasyros – International Animation Festival, Imaginaria – International Animated Film Festival, and Prime the Animation – New Talent International Festival. KAFF is an associated member of the network. FAN brought two selections this year to Kecskemét. The first compilation, called Masters, includes films around the theme of memory, created by renowned Portuguese directors. Young European Talents is a selection of works by Portuguese directors just starting their careers.
