According to a Transylvanian legend, in the 1850s, a terrifying and indestructible beast with demonic took its victims in the Retezat Mountains. Prince Schwarzenberg, the imperial governor of Transylvania, who did not believe in folk tales or superstitions, decided to destroy the beast himself.
