CONSCIOUS MEDIA CONSUMPTION – THE WORLD OF ANIMATION

May 29, Thursday 10:00
Katona József Library, Great Hall
Animated film has changed a lot since it first appeared a hundred years ago. It is no longer just a popular form of entertainment for children. Its meaning has been shaped by a number of iconic national and international films and creators, but technical possibilities have also enriched its usability: it is used in computer games, online spaces and other live-action audiovisual content. Nowadays, child protection and media literacy are increasingly important for content using animation elements. Our conference will feature presentations on the reinterpretation of media literacy, changes in the media world, regulatory issues and the value-creating aspect of animated film culture.
