Áron Gauder

Áron Gauder has aspired to become an animation artist since childhood. After specialising in graphic design at Kaffka Margit Grammar School (now Saint Margaret of Hungary Grammar School), he studied at the Hungarian University of Art and Design (now Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design), graduating from the Animation programme in 1999. From 2000, he worked at KGB Studio, which he co-founded. He co-created the 2005 cult classic feature The District! with Erik Novák, and was awarded the Cristal for a Feature Film at Annecy. From 2013 to 2019, he worked on the documentary series Stone Axe Man. At the same time, he started an animated series project at Cinemon Entertainment, of which two episodes were completed: Coyote and the Rock and Coyote and the Wasichu. His 2023 feature Four Souls of Coyote received the Jury Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, it was nominated for an Annie Award, and won the Grand Prix of KAFF, among other accolades.
